ABOUT US

Art for Aid is an organization with the goal of providing accessible art lessons to all children and doing good in our community. We provide virtual art classes in exchange for direct donations to charitable organizations. Over the summer, we raised $350 for BLM and COVID-19 relief. This school year, we are partnering with organizations nationwide to raise funds for grassroots movements and provide art lessons to children in low-income communities. About

OUR CLASSES

Classes are tailored for students K-6th grade, and will be taught via 1 hour Zoom sessions. We seek to improve technique and creative thinking through our curriculum. Creative classes, intended for grades k-2, teach simple drawing skills and promote imagination, while sketch classes teach drawing skills for grades 3-6. The suggested course donation is any amount that is possible for you. If you have financial barriers that prevent you from making a donation, lessons will be provided to your child for free with no questions asked. The materials required are paper, colored pencils, pencils, eraser, and pencil sharpener. Our schedule (listed in Eastern Standard Time) is as follows:

Sun: 10/11-11/15 5-6 pm: creative class (k-2)
Mon: 10/12-11/16 6:30-7:30 pm, creative class (k-2)
Tues: 10/13-11/17 4-5 pm, sketch class (3-6)
Wed: 10/14-11/18 4:30-5:30, sketch class (3-6)
Thurs:10/15-11/19 4:30-5:30, sketch class (3-6)
Fri: 10/16-11/20 5-6 pm, creative class (k-2)
Sat: 10/17-11/21 11 am-12 pm: creative class (k-2)

Sarah is a junior at Lexington High School. There, she's co-president of the National Art Honors Society chapter, and has won numerous awards, including the Scholastic Art & Writing National Gold Medal. Sarah enjoy both 2D and 3D art, and her favorite mediums are colored pencil and oil painting.

Kristina is a senior at Lexington High School, and is passionate about using art to raise awareness for environmentalism. She has won several awards for her marine stewardship pieces, as well as a Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Key. When not drawing, she can be found swimming or watching Midnight Gospel.
